I don't know if you've heard, but here in Maryland, the past couples weeks it's been HOT. No joke, we were in the 100's. We went to the pool the other day and we couldn't get cooled off. Kinda crazy. So, as you can imagine, the last thing we want to be doing is holding marshmallows over any size of flame and eating hot gooey stuff. Thus, the frozen s'more was born...probably for the millionth time, but I had never heard of one or more importantly, eaten one. So here's what we made tonight for a family treat. (This is my last dessert for a while, I PROMISE...just enjoy summer while it's here, and I swear I have some healthy things in store for the future!)
You'll need:
Graham crackers
Vanilla ice cream
TOASTED marshmallow cream (makes it more authentic, don't you think)
And chocolate coating, the kind that freezes fast
(NO HOT FUDGE...remember? No HOT gooey things, it's against the frozen s'more rules)
Lay down your graham,
top it with vanilla ice cream,
top that with marshmallow cream.
Last, but CERTAINLY not the least, slather it in a chocolate shell.
Wait a couple seconds..........
..................................................
Then the shell should be hardened,
and take a cool, crunchy, creamy, toasty, melty....you get the idea....BITE. Yum. (And don't tell the real s'mores, but I think I like these better!)

Going to try that one tomorrow, YUM! Where did you find that recipe or did you come up with that yourself? Love MOM
ReplyDeleteI saw a recipe for marshmallow ice cream sundays...and it just inspired me from that to change it to s'mores. So its probably been done before, but I came up with it for myself. Tell me how you like it! Love you! -xoxo Jade
