In June of 2011, Jamie got this crazy idea to start a blog with all of her sisters. She called them up, thinking they might not want to do it, but was pleasantly surprised when they all jumped on board! From there, all the sisters brainstormed name ideas for several days. (laughing the whole time of course, coming up with names like sistabob {like shishkabob} and stacking our heads on a stick and saying we have all different flavors) Eventually we settled on The Letter 4
So the blog began and it was a rush from the very beginning! We all enjoyed watching it grow as well as ourselves! About 4 months in, something felt wrong. We were blogging for the sake of blogging. There was no heart in our posts. Our posts didn't emulate our personalities. If we were going to be spending so much time doing something that we loved and sharing it with each others, we thought that we had better make sure that our whole heart was in there too, and that people got to know us as we know each other. So several phone conversations later, and late nights contemplating, this is what we came up with...
The Letter 4 fit more perfectly than we had ever imagined. We decided to make our blog posts more like letters to each other. It's a way to bring us closer together again. We grew up together, and now live far apart from each other. This blog has been an amazing blessing that lets us share our lives again. So that is what you will find when you come to our blog. Sisters who write to each other about anything and everything in their life, as if we were right there with each other again, sharing, talking, and laughing.
Please feel free to join in and share any tips, advice, funny stories, hardships, and experiences.
Cause really, if you look at it, we're all family :)

I LOVE this... you all are so rare and amazing! I am so impressed that you are evaluating and changing rather than getting caught up. I feel on occasion like I'm doing something for the sake of my blog rather than blogging about something for the sake of our life. I sincerely pray that this change will be what you are looking for! Thanks for being so genuine :)
