Spray Painting Feathers

F e a t h e r s . I may be mildly obsessed with these objects. While I was a tutor for a fourth grade class, these little girls would go pluck feathers off their chickens at home and bring them to me as gifts because they could tell I love feathers so much. They made my day with their small handfuls of fluffy little feathers.

I recently got some spray paint and tape. It's kind of one of those endless possibility projects. You can do whatever design you want on them. Isn't that just neato? I'm quite happy with it.

  1. How fun! I love how simple this idea is, but also super versatile! You girls are so cute- I wish we wouldve had more time to chat at SNAP- I felt like I met everyone, but didn't get to know anyone! :) Here's to hoping we can become better virtual friends! Have a great night...

  14. Just wondering if the spray paint affects the softness of the feather? I have some white ostrich feathers that I want to change the color of but I don't wanna lose the softness of the feather.

    1. yes it's actually almost like spraying it with hair spray, it won't move and it will be stiff. Sorry!
